Comments : I am in shock.we experienced the same symptoms with our keela. After taking her to the vet multiple times. She was not diagnosed.she was a tall lanky mal and was under weight, weighing 85lbs,growths,bloat and lethargic.she made it to 10years and died of spleen cancer.I wonder if she had thyroid disease?I had a hard time adjusting to her death.I now have another mal.thank you for posting this article it was very helpful and I will know the symptoms if I see them in her. Comments : I just read a random post by my breeder that has a pup that has thyroid issues. My 6 yr old male Blaze is unhealthy fat. It is beginning to affect his breathing. He eats 1 cup less than his perfect weight sister and recently wants to do nothing but sleep all the time. I am forcing him outside to go to the bathroom and for a 10 minute walk. I have asked our vet more than once to test his thyroid and she won't. She says I am not feeding him enough, he must be stealing bad food when I am not looking and that I am not exercising him. I work from home. He eats right in front of me. Both dogs do and I know what they eat. His favorite snack is cucumber and he only gets a slice every few days. I am now going to find a new vet. I feel like I failed him but now I know his vet did. She failed both of us. Thank you for sharing your story because I have hope that I will get my Blaze back.

Comments : Thank you Fionna for making this information on Thyroid Register available. I don't know if this is my Mallys problem but at least I am a lot more informed and will take this information to my Vet. Thank you for your time.
